About the Spinner...
As a child, my mother raised English angora rabbits and spun the wool. She inspired  and instilled my love of rabbits and spinning. After graduate school, I had the time to pursue my interest so I  learned to spin and went on some fantastic spinning retreats. I find that caring for these lovely creatures and spinning their fiber is very relaxing and therapeutic.  I enjoy every minute with them and my wheel.

The Herd

Oliver
Oliver is a 9.5 pound black Giant/English  with beautiful light gray wool accented with dark gray/black guard hairs.  When his fiber is spun the yarn has a lovely silvery color;  and  blending the fiber with a fine black wool produces a light charcoal yarn.

Fitzwallace
Fitzwallace is an agouti of Giant/English crossbreeding. When his wool is spun it creates a subtle  steel color yarn; and blending his fiber with a light brown wool  the yarn has a lovely coco tweed color. I also blend his fiber with fine black wool to create a darker charcoal yarn.

Andy
Andy is a lynx of Nordic German crossbreeding.
He's a goofy bunny!  Always in the mood to play and investigate everything! His last shearing produced an incredibly long fiber, which when spun gave a almond-butter color.

Truffle
My herd would not be complete without a little chocolate!  Truffle is  of a Giant French/English crossbreeding with great  crimp. When spun his fiber produces a light milk chocolate yarn.

Honey Bunny
Honey does not produce wool, but is a cute bunny that keeps the dog Betty company during nap time.

My dear Honey Bunny passed away this summer.  He will be missed.

Pablo                                                        I'm involved with the Catskill Animal Sanctuary and this little bunny was found dodging traffic in NYC before someone came to his rescue.  From there he went to CAS.  When I met him I fell in love and adopted him.   He has a huge personality! For more information about CAS: www.casanctuary.org

Rocket
Rocket does not produce wool either, but I mention all the other pets, so why not him too.
